E under my electric guitar dean's (large chain) keeps humming. What causes this?

Hello, I have a Dean electric guitar vibrate only in my low E sting. I play mostly in drop tunings such as Drop D and fall C. I read somewhere that if you play on pitches fall can help if you use a smaller gauge string. If so, can you tell me what would work better for drop tunings? thanks. Guitar Tab: Dean Vendetta XMT 10 strings Gage "Dime Time's neck.

Try increasing the action by adjusting the two hex screws on the chair of the chain E with an allen wrench. A lot of buzzing guitars have strings E, but that's a problem all round forks. That is, pitches with a curve. The reason E strings buzz has to do with their height above the frets are not consistent, are too far in some areas and very close to others. Explained in more detail here: http://www.stewmac.com/freeinfo/a-compoundradius.html Another reason could be that your frets are uneven, but since his guitar is a dean is unlikely. So the only solutions are either to increase the seat height or refine the top rope. Another solution is to get your pitch to change by a compound with a radius one, I seriously doubt that he wants to do. As for the strings, heavy gauge strings can be set to tap the child without frets. I heard that Ernie Ball, "Not Even Slinky" strings are great for drop – tunings, but I've never tried. You may want to see them. Hope this helps!
