Is Vypyr Peavey guitar amp 30 is good to play post hardcore / screamo / metalcore?
With an Ibanez ART300.
The Vyper is able to achieve a sound very distorted and has enough power to play in a small club / test situation. The best way to determine if it can the sound after going to your local music store and try it. There are many great amps that are similar in size, power, and the price so try as much as possible before choosing one.

For decades, it has been a widespread view that (or tube valve) amplifiers sound better than solid state amplifiers.
First – what is a tube amplifier? A tube amplifier is a type of guitar amplifier that operates in the valves of the vacuum tubes (or) instead transistors. The sound you get from a tube amp is warmer and more complete than that obtained from a solid state amplifier.
Tube amps ranging from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars, so the choice is really confusing! If you're reading this article, you probably have decided it is time that you want to crank the volume past the mark of 10 in current practice or your amp tone is just not satisfying you.
There are some things you need to know to make your decision. First, the type of music you play, so you can decide on the amount of gain that your amplifier has to have. What is the gain? The gain is essentially a synonym for the distortion. If you play mostly clean-music (practically, no amount of distortion), do not need much gain. If the music you play is blues or rock, you need a moderate amount of gain, depending on how distorted you want the sound to be. If you play metal, you need a tube amp with high gain.
The amplifier clean most remarkable of all history is the Fender Bassman tube amp, the holy grail of clean sounds. In general, you want to look at Fender and Vox. Most tube amplifiers have the necessary amount of gain for blues or rock (Marshalls, the Budda expensive, the Blackhearts budget). Finally, if we are talking about metal, you'll want to look at Peavey, Mesa Boogie, Engl.
The second aspect of a tube amp, why many people crave them, is the dynamic. Dynamics is the capacity of a tube amp sound clean when you're hitting the strings lightly, and distorted when you are hitting hard. This allows large amount of speech. You'll have to listen to an amplifier to see if this quality.
You also have to listen to the definition, which is the ability to expand his game every note clearly. This is very important if you do not sound like mud. The best way to test this is to play a few chords, let alone amplifiers possess this quality.
Finally, only have to listen if you have the basic tonal characteristics that fit you. If the basic sound of the amplifier bad, sound bad anyway you can adjust the equalizer, the amount of gain, nothing. It is not uncommon that you find tube amps badly done by prestigious brands. There is no such thing as "not knowing" if it sounds good or not, and although the store employees can help with information such as different amounts of gain, the number of tubes, etc. always want to convince you to buy the products we are dealing with. If you do not buy it, you can always come back another time and try again, but if you do, you just lack motivation and will hurt your game. This is important because tube amps are not so cheap as a practice amp. Always try before you buy!
