What kind of wood is the fingerboard of existing Epiphone Les Paul Standard is maple or rosewood?

I think that its rosewood. I used to have one. Rosewood is a darker color, as when Maple is lighter right? anyway, my Les Paul Special 2 neck was made of rosewood. usually maple or rosewood are rules. Why you should build a Weissenborn slide guitar

I just wanted Toanswer some questions on the Weissenborn Lap Steel Slide guitar I built a few months ago using only simple hand tools while living on my boat! I had a lot consultation on these guitars and I thought I could take the time to explain why, basically, if you are considering building a guitar for the first time its a great way to start your career because it is so easy to build compared to an acoustic guitar with a special neck in a thorough and demanding and accurate fret space

As some of you know who also built a website featuring slide guitars, lap steels and a number of interesting everything about the fascinating world of slide guitar. For those of you who are interested the guitar was built after plans style 2, 1920 Weissenborn maple wood from Australia and the only difference is that I made the original neck 2.5 inches deep instead of 1.5inch and 4.5-inch body instead 2.5 "… the sound is wonderful as is the volume and the rich tones … making weissy sound so good?

I have written a series of articles, which appear on the network in a few places and there's a world of information for exploring not for free! the sound is absolutely fantastic and nobody was more surprised I! I had taken years to have the courage to actually start building a guitar and basically do not know what he was worried! The choice of wood Maple Australia had much to do with the good results and it is not surprising really, as Maple is a cousin of the famous Koa wood Most guitars are built from slide.

I also tried the guitar body much deeper than the original style of two plans and ran around two inches wider. The plans come on CD ROM and can get the plan printed on AO or A1 architects role .. probably much easier to work for most people. All instructions there are basic, step by step and everything is explained very carefully taking into account that for many will build his first guitar. Why the slide Weissenborn guitar as a first build? Well, somehow cheating, because as most people know, strings are not touched, but the fingers left only with a plate of glass or steel or brass

Therefore, if the space is very little dishes were really giving it notice truly custom! you never get away with it in a proper acoustic guitar where you have to play the chords with your fingers!
