ANDERSEN VANGUARD JAZZ GUITAR USED BEAUTIFUL HOLLOWBODY $5,499.99 |
It's easy to tell that the guitar makers like Fender and Gibson have always been the best selling musical instruments which are now, but actually not the case. Believe it or not, several years Epiphone really ruled the world of Electric Guitar, thanks mainly to a group of young musicians from Liverpool (the Beatles, if you do not know their music history very well).
Many artists in the 1960s were seen playing acoustic guitar Epiphone and electric, including the Epiphone Casino, which was known for his piercing golden tones. Good luck on getting the original 1960 The Casino model, but fortunately for us the instrument has been reissued and is certainly worthy of our time. Let's see what it offers.
The Epiphone Casino is a semi-hollow body instrument known for its lightness. The back, sides and top are made of laminated maple with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The 22-fret guitar has a 24 3 / 4 "scale with a 1.68 "nut width.
The Epiphone Casino is classy aesthetics. It has a trademark tune-o-matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece, beautiful body and neck binding, chrome hardware, and parallelogram inlays. Electronically, the instrument uses vintage style Alnico V P90 pills.
Clearly, the Epiphone Casino exudes class and vintage style.
If your senses are anything like ours, you'll find at least two interesting features on the Casino. First, is a very light guitar, which is what you expect from a semi-hollow guitar. When comparing the Epiphone Casino or other models, the weight of light is a pleasant surprise.
The second thing you probably notice is the sound itself. "Crisp" is probably the best adjective I can use to describe it. Not in the habit Gibson or Fender tone, but that's not a bad thing. It is unique with its own animal.
We were very pleased with the tones we have on the Epiphone Casino. You can get some amazing clean tones or classic rock, but not provide any "Iron Maiden" genuine sound lame. P90 pills have some fantastic tones, even if they are hum-canceling (but not really loud anyway).
After giving the team a full installation (adjusting the neck and bridge), who played very well. It's not a guitar that Steve Vai play in the short term, but certainly comfortable, and one that could play for hours with comfort.
We could not help ripping into some Tripper "Day" and "Back in the USSR" riffs, and of course we tried the guitar plugged into a (reissue) Vox AC-15. The sound was big and clear.
At a cost of only $ 599 street, there is not much that does not like the Epiphone Casino. If you are looking for a guitar to consummate classic rock, jazz, blues, or just an excuse to make some Beatles tunes, the casino is a tool that can be played.
