Is it big production of oregano in USA?
And allso how expencive will be to buy oregano from the shops..
Some oregano is grown in the US and some is imported. I do not know the proportions.
In a grocery store, oregano costs about $3/0.5 oz bottle.
It can be bought in bulk, about $5/lb at a wholesale foods shop or online.

Toys Made In The Usa – Why Buy Them?
Finding products made in the USA is not quite as easy as it use to be. Walk into a department store with the mission of only buying USA products, you will probably walk out with very few items. Inexpensive labor and a high demand has taken production to other countries leaving American made products hard to find. Unfortunately, it is more of an exception,not the rule.
When it comes to buying toys, thankfully, we have the option of buying toys manufactured in the USA. It’s a good thing, too, because in the light of current events, recent health scares, and the poor quality of many toy products, it is now more important to be buying toys made in the USA.
Buying products that were made in the USA helps to improve the economy. Nearly everyone is willing to do something to help resuscitate our nation’s economy and bring us back to where we used to be on firm financial footing. All it takes is simple steps of ratcheting down our debt tolerance and spending our money wisely. Wise spending means spending money so that it will stay within our borders. Whenever you purchase a toy that is, for example, “made in China,” the bulk of your proceeds go straight to China. In essence, you are stymieing our nation’s attempt to pull out of the recession. Buying toys made the in the USA, on the other hand, puts those dollars and cents into the hands of hard-working Americans, and into the ultimate revitalization of our economy.
Buying toys made in the USA helps to preserve your child’s health. There are some conspiracy theorists, which say that the toxins in the toys from China were attempts by the Chinese government to kill off millions of American kids. I think not. However, there is no arguing with the fact that there were toxins in these toys, and that they cause severe health problems. That is simply too big of a risk to take. If you have children, you are aware of the measures that you take to preserve your child’s health. You know how precious your children are to you. Are they precious enough to you to prevent you from buying potentially harmful toys? Mistakes are going to happen in any country with any toy manufacturer. However, if you look at the track record, buying USA is a much wiser choice. The USA has higher manufacturing standards that regulate the entire process of a toy’s production. You can feel safe knowing that when your child gets his/her new toy, it is not going to be laced with toxic chemicals or other dangerous materials. Buying toys made in the USA is just one simple step that you can take to protect your children from harm.
Buying toys made in the USA ensures durability and quality. American made products are legendary for their quality and durability. Again, due to higher manufacturing standards and demand for better quality, toys made in the USA are typically far sturdier than their overseas-manufactured counterparts. It is an issue of quality. American made toys are typically a little more expensive than the toys made overseas. But the slightly higher price usually means that the toy will last longer. Buying toys made in the USA means that not only your kids will enjoy the toy; your grandkids might enjoy it, too!
Regardless of how you look at it, buying toys made in the USA is a superior choice. It’s better for our nation; it’s better for your family’s health; and it’s better financially, too.
